I've had this parakeet for 3-4 years now, its a healthy female. How do I know? This Easter Sunday she laid 2 eegs. One problem, never came in contact with any male bird, she barely ever gets out of the cage. How did this happen?

Females can lay eggs without a male being present, but she needs the male to fertilize the eggs so you shouldn't be worried about having chicks.

Hi Aqueous is correct without a male these eggs are infertile.

Do not remove these eggs allow her to finish her cycle and incubation period of 19days otherwise she will lay more eggs to replace the once missing and this can cause serious problems for her.

So all in all you do not need to worry about chicks as there will not be any.
