Thanks for your nice comments. Socks and Mittens are both female. They are sisters. One of my daughters found them in her yard years ago and nobody claimed them so I took them in. It's hard to believe people would drop cute little kittens off anywhere to let them fend for themselves.

They are both sweet cats. Socks is my needy cat. She follows me around wanting attention and loves to lay next to me and get her ears rubbed. Sometimes she seems to get upset and goes to her room (the Family Room) lies in her chair and pouts.

Mittens loves to dart around and claw everything. Sometimes we call her our Cuisinart (gotta love her).

 

It's sad, but true. My father did that to a kitten that my mom claimed we could keep. I've not forgiven him yet for that dastard deed. He is the nicest person, but only to humans- does lots of charities even though he needs the money for himself. I don't understand why he thinks animals are "low life."
