    i got some of these fish And was wondering r they ganna eat there fry like guppies :x :0024:

    Aww platies are pretty gentle but they may eat your guppy fry if they fit in their mouths but they wont actually attack anything bigger then its mouth, good lucK!

    Yes some platties will eat their own fry :( Never had platties but I've heard you should treat them just like guppies and mollies with respect to their breeding.

    Oh yes.. u better remove them before they eat their fry.. they pratice cannibalism.

    Hi Mwm, you don't necessarily have to put your pregnant Platy into a fry trap ( I'm not sure what there called) If you have plenty of low plants and crevices in your tank most of them should be alright. What ratio of male- female platys are you thinking about getting if you don't already have them?

    theyre not as interested in their fry as guppies, but be aware, they have minds of their own

    Yup, they another so its always best to have them sepperate, i currantly have a 10 gal for all my platy fry.

    Same as most other fish like the guppy, she will be bloated and have the graved spot.
