okay iam at wits right now with my brood. this kind of long but I really need some input if anyone has had experience with what is going on with my pet family. could it be parasitesworms??? I dropped off stool samples this morning, Wylie was dewormed when she was at the ER 2 weeks ago

Wylie and Midas are ravenous and wsell jake the lab typical is always hungry. last night while I am trying ti cook dinner wylie is lickin the fridge Midas (cat) is walking ont he counter tyring to get food out of the frying pan and I am trippin over Jake trying to get tidbits
    so here is some background

Wylie, I posted here around beg Oct about her sudden desire to EAT. she is a very picky eater, I think Jimiya said her stool tested, which I didnt do because then Midas got sick (next story)

the Sat before halloween Wylie was throwing up a little, then that night she threw up her dinner and her stomach was making the most outragous sounds and she wnated out all night to eat grass. the next morning she was fine. fast forward 2 weeks ago, same thing started happening except she didnt get better and they admitted her for possible pancreatitis. they did an ultrasound and found her pancreas and duodnom slightly enflamed but not like a normal pancreatitis, and her abdomen was not sure like it should have been but theytreated her like pancreatiis, which means no food and sub fluids for a few days.

she came home and slowly we gave her solids well she is still ravenous and her tests came back negative for the pancreatitis they think it was some form of gastro issue though.

she has been home almost 2 weeks and Sunday night she started needing to go to pee about 4 AM every morning, what is with this?? I am giving her more canned and she is drinking more water (all of her blood tests came back negative I am wondering if this presecption food is causing it, but it didnt do it last week.

and she has her next ultrasoudn tomorrow for teh spllen that has something on it so I will post on that.

    now Midas
okay wylie starts the food thing beg of OCt
Around the 15th Midas was getting sick, and throwing up every time he ate, he hadnt been looking godd for awhile I thought becasue of his allergies. so I took Midas to the vet a few days later and they said he has kidney failure, like 80 %. I took him off dry and does well on just canned
about a week and half ago Midas started acting like he was starving, I mean he is on the counters, trying to get food off teh stove (very dangerous) I keep feeding and feeding and he doesnt stop.

and then my mom called last night, she was in town last week and had her dog with her, they were at my house lesss than 24 hours. she said since she got home Misty has been acting like she is starving

WHAT IS GOING ON!!! Wylie, Midas and Misty acting like they never get fed.

oh and Jake started dragging his butt.

and Misty, I told my mom when I saw her Misty looked so skinny, my mom said she had lost 4 1/2 #
I said something is wrong because she is not on a diet she weight 28# and that was like her going losing 303 without going on a diet, so she is having mistys blood checked.

whew. so good advice input and whats going on??

    thanks

Thanks renee, all this at once and to top it off. I had wylies chart sent to my regular vet to get a 2nd opnion on her spleen and ultrasound. He said just by reading her chart anid that the other vet showed concerns him a lot. He said he knows the woman who did the ultrasound is an expert and he believes he her. So I am worrying about that big time and will know tomorrow on that she goes in at 11:00 for the ultrasound

This sounds pretty serious, but maybe it could be something as simple as, they have a sense this is going to be a tough winter and they must eat to store up body fat. I have no clue otherwise. When you get it figured out tell us so we can know for the next time!

hmmmm.... I had something similar to this but they were a herd of puppies who reached "puppy hood" from newborns...those little buggars could eat!! Come to find out they had roundworms. General wormers won't rid them. the vet has to.

After they were wormed they were all fine. And went back to being normal annoying little yappers.

I'm thinking hungry all the time also goes with diabetes, but that's not contagious!! And I think that also includes drinking a lot but not peeing more. Or soemthing like that.

I'd definitely get them all checked for worms. Let us know if you find anything out!
