HELP! My female cat seems miserable! She is meowing this awful meow and flopping herself on the carpet and dragging herself around. She is eating and sleeping, but the hours that she is awake (at night) are horibble! She is fixed...She is about a year old...

I called 10 Vets, even the one I usually take my cat to and they can't get me in! They say "maybe she needs a bath" or "it must be something behavioral" Well...I know my cat!

Hi how long ago was she spayed?

Even though she is spayed sometimes a small part of there oviaries can be left behind and this is enuff to cause her hormones to flare up as if she was in heat, So she would meow and flop around like an intact cat would...

I personally would contact more vets if need be and have her checked just to make sure that there is nothing wrong.

Hope she is fine and its nothing..

Keep us posted of how she gets on

NO vet with a valid liscence would tell you it's nothing without first booking an appointment for a check up.

Demand to speak directly to the vet for an appointment, nevermind the receptionist.

What town do you live in?

Vets are usually quite eager to take your money, and for 10 of them to refuse an office visit is bordering on the unbelievable. Something doesn't sound right.

Get your cat to a vet asap.

    Please help my cat

    Hi,
Got into the vet on Monday! One of two thgings...either a UTI or she is in heat. I have her on antibiotics incase it is a UTI, but they are not working...She must be in heat (even though she was fixed). I go back again on Monday. We are going to explore the idea of another surgery! Thanks for all of your help!

My sister has a friend who adopted a cat and got her spayed. Then she went into heat. Their vet told her that there may be a tiny bit of the uterus left but that she couldn't get pregnant. Later, the cat went into heat for the second time. I think at this point, I would have demanded another surgery, but they didn't. The cat then got pregnant and had a litter of kittens. I think by this point I would be demanding a FREE surgery to fix the cat and free care for the kittens, from the original vet who so botched a spay that the cat could have KITTENS! Unbelievable.
