I just recently got a 2 month old kitten for my birthday (a male) and a week later my mom decided that he needed a playmate and brought home a 3 mnth old female kitten.
Now my kitten has begun to pee on my bed at night (i must add that since i've had him he always sleeps on my bed with me at night)! And normally the female doesn't even sleep on my bed, I think it might be her scent that makes him agitated.. I don't know what to do to get him to stop peeing on my bed.
Please any advice would be so greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Nadine

Hi and welcome to Auspet. :D I would take the kitten to the vet to rule out a UTI (urinary tract infection) or other medical problems first. If the kitten has a UTI it may associate the litter box with pain (a UTI can be painful) and will opt to urinate elsewhere. Also, it's always a good idea to take any new fur animals to the vet right away to have them fully examined and have them tested for various diseases, get them dewormed, and have their first set of shots. Get a product called Natures Miracle to clean up the urine. Also, make sure the litter boxes are clean. Since you have two cats it would be a good idea to have at least 2-4 litter boxes. I have two kittens and have four litter boxes. A lot of cats like to poop in one and urinate in another. Also never have your litter boxes in noisy or non private areas or near their food. Let us know how the vet trip went.

:m23: :0018: Hi and welcome to Auspet! We love to see pics if you have any! A trip to the vet is a good idea to rule out any health problems. Peeing problems may be due to stress but you never know. Kittens usually love other kittens. They generally craze socialization and should be fine with each other.

Products like Nature's Miracle (Petsmart etc.) to clean up spots and smells, and Cat Attract

    may help with elimination problems.

hi nadine!! welcome to auspet :0018:

i have two litter boxes...but i have clumping kitty litter and clean them at least twice a day...sometimes three times a day. even though it says you can use it up to two or three weeks, and just add more. i totally clean the box after a week. clean boxes help alot. some kitties will go elsewhere if the box is not clean. [-X

maybe you can separate them for now, and reintroduce them slowly after you have a handle on the inappropriate peeing. i would keep the kitten in your room at first to see if you can eliminate the problem by just closing the door. the kitty may need to feel safe. 8-[ but if it continues to pee on your bed, you should move him to a new room.

dont use clumping kitty litter with the young kitten. they can eat it...and die. use clay.

and the vet check is the most important thing. shots, worming, check for uti, fecal exam.

you also want to do blood work on both to make sure they dont have any diseases that they could transmit to each other. like feline leukemia, FIV. :m10:

    Thank you

I want to thank you all for the tips. I am bringing my two babies (pounce and venus) to the vets tomorrow so hopefully that will go well. Pounce did really well last night and did not pee on my bed. I woke up with him around 3 and brought him to the litter and he had a nice big pee so all was well. I'll update when we get back from the vets. Thank you again.
