For those of you who belive in the power of prayer please call, for those of you who dont, think of it as your good deed for the day. This was sent to me by a good friend who works with the little boy's mother.

This prayer request is for Joe William Sheffield, a 9 year old boy from Tifton, Georgia. He has been diagnosed with cancer and has began chemo. His mother is a teacher in the school system in Tifton, Georgia. They attend First Baptist Church in Tifton.

First Baptist has a program called the Prayer Beeper. When you pray for this child, call this toll free number 1-877-546-0248. Listen to the recording and input number 733#.) What happens is this child wears the beeper and every time it vibrates he knows somewhere someone is lifting him up in prayer! What a wonderful ministry. I just did this myself--what an awesome blessing for this little boy every time he gets a buzz...and what a blessing for us to know that we are showing him God's love in such a quick way. Please take a minute out of your day to say a prayer for Joe William...I am sure it means a lot to him and helps keep his spirits up every time he gets a "beep". Please pass this along to all of your friends so Joe will know that even people that don't know him still care enough to say a prayer for him.

 

It is only through the power of prayer that I make it through each day. It is only through the power of prayer that my 17 month old baby boy is 17 months old. He would have died if my family had not started a prayer chain that crossed 3 states and over 20 chruches. God bless every person who takes a moment to send hope to that boy and his family.

Having just lost my grandmother (my mothers mom) to Cancer and now my grand father (her husband) just got diagnosed with it as well. I know the power of prayer.

God bless this little boy and guide him through whichever path you should choose. Keep him safe from evil and harm, please let no suffering take place, this young boy deserves the best life you have to offer.

I know what the power of prayer can do, I've been blessed with a cancer free Husband now for 17 yrs. (the worst cancer a person can get, fast growing) I will do the above and thank you for bringing it to my attention!

May Gods Mercey and Power be with this boy......
