Hi there is alot of people that take a shower with there birds aslong as the water is not too hot then it should be fine.

Hopefully some of the other members who do take there birds into the shower will reply and let you know what they do.

    Hi,
I used to take my cockatiel into the shower. She didnt mind it if the water was warm as long as she was free to go in and out of the water when ever she wanted but never more than once a week or when it was cold as she tended to get soaked.

I had a small spectacled Amazon who absolutely loved to take a shower. He loved it even more if we put him in the kitchen sink and used the sprayer. We wouldn't spray it right at him, instead we let him walk back and forth under it.

When he was in the mood for a shower, he'd start by saying "Dirty bird" then yell "OUCH" and make a pssst pssst pssst noise, like the sprayer. When he felt he'd had enough, he'd walk to the side of the sink and say "Out now".

If you do shower with your bird, be sure you keep him warm and away from drafts until he's dry.
