Poor Buster has to stay at the ER.....

Well Buster is having a serious Addison's crisis and has to stay in the animal ER overnight to get stabilized...... We went in this afternoon for his shot which we pushed to 58 days instead of 56 because he has been doing soo well...... we got back home and thought all was ok (he has been acting a little off but not a ton). Well the vet called within 30 min and said he was in the mist of a crisis and to bring him back right now.... Guess he can't go that extra 2 days..... wish we didn't have to find out this way......

 

ooh!! poor buster! i hope he recovers soon!!!

Thanks Sam!! Buster is back at home he had a rough night though I'm glad that he was at the ER. They pumped him full of fluids, meds, more fluids more meds...... His sodium spiked really high during the night (life threatening high) ended up getting insulin. He has had a restful day I stayed home with him good thing with all the fluids he had to go outside like a million times :lol: It is soo good to have him back where he belongs..... First thing he did when we got home was surveyed the house......checked to see if the BF was home but hiding from him.....smelled all 3 cats.....checked his toys and his bed
I have to take him in really early tomorrow morning to get a blood draw, take him back home then off to work to make up for being off today. Looks like we are going to do the shots every 50 days just to make sure.

Glad he's home. I sympathize with his having to go out a million times... omg i think this baby thinks its funny to make me go potty every 10 min!!! sheesh

thank you I am soo glad that he is home but OMG all the meds etc.. has given him some nasty gas!!!! :shock:

It was really funny watching him run through the house making sure all was good and his belongings were where they all should be..... Maybe making sure his rank in the family was not disturbed....
