Hubby opened up a Pro Plan can food this morning and found ground up pieces of blue plastic mixed with the food. :x We never had this problem before and I hope this is a rare occurence. Our kitties love this brand and I hate to swithch to another. Has anyone else ever had this happen to them?

I would contact the company. They'll most likely send you a coupon for free food - go for it. If your cats like it and it's only happened once. At least it wasn't a human thumb

I've heard of a similar situation with a can of merrick food...althought I've never had it happen while I've used it. I do think these are rare occurances as upsetting as they may be.

No Kyles. We have those can lids with the pull tabs.

That finger stuff is gross. I wonder if that woman made it up for money. People are known to get millions for suing McDonald's for spilling hot coffee on themselves.

I'm just concerned that my furbabies may be swallowing foreign objects that can cause them gastroenteritis or worse. Rene was recently diagnosed with it and out went $600. I'm thankful she's ok now.

i thought if you used a can opener it could have shredded the label into the can but seeing as you didnt, ew! definately contact them.
