Poor Pup got stung

Today I was out in yard had the puppies in the play pen so they could'nt get in trouble while I did my rounds of the place and Apollo was following me checking out everything else well (she is such a good dog). When all of a sudden I hear this horrible puppy yelping from the house. So I dropped what I was doing and ran to the how with Apollo at my heels. Poor Barley was there making a chewing motion with his little mouth and just letting the whole state know how much pain he was in. When i knelt down to look at him I by chance noticed a big fat dead wet Bumble Bee. Barley has a tendency to try and eat bees and flies and he finally got one and paid the price. You can tell where he is stung the very tip of his toung is beat red and has a small but noticeable bee stinger in it. I called up the vet and he said just to watch him closely and give him some Benydral to keep it from swelling too much and too just keep a close on on him. Even though the stinger is in the tounge he has been eating and drinking just fine but will yelp occasionally. Right now he is napping knocked out by the baby meds. I just feel so bad for the little guy Apollo keeps on going up to him and licking his little face and he will just whine poor baby.

Poor little fella. Some of those bee stings really hurt. Did you get the stinger out?

 

Poor baby, but I bet deep down inside he's probably proud of himself that he actually caught one this time. I hope he feels better!
