Ok Mama our sow is getting up there in years she's a good pig used for breeding and 4H at the fairs she's a blue ribbon girl. So my husband and I were talking yesterday evening about Mama and how much we love her and figure on her retiring after her last litter this spring. So then I brought up the question of are we going to get a new female piglet in Mama's range of quality for breeding and showing. Since we have made it a pretty regular thing with selling her piglets and even keeping some to grow into healthy adults to sell around the holidays its a nice form of extra income. So he said we could look around and if we don't see anything too impressive then we will keep the best of her final litter.

Im excited because I would love to have anouther "pet" pig on the farm and to Mama retired she will become even more of a pet she's not meant to ever be a meal just a pet and friend. Anyways im just excited.
