Precious and Vader Save the day!

Last night I had just gotten off the phone with Rayna bragging about the pups and Vader and the girls last rescue.. LOL and i heard Vader throwing a fit. So i go to the back door and Precious rushes out the back door to investigate Vaders alarms, and there was a big black man in a white shirt and jeans trying to fend off Vader!! Precious rushes too her, and the guy takes a swipe at them and Precious goes in for the bite. Grabs his arm... Vaders got ahold of his pant leg and saw the guy swing something. It looked shiny, so I assumed it was a knife or gun or something. I ran inside grabbed the phone and was dialing 9-1-1 and trying to get the gun cabnet open. I heard him scream and a dog yelp. I go back out and he's running off and Precious comes limping back in with her mouth all bloody and vaders as well...
So I put on some gloves and put them both in the tub (with the stopper in it) and rinsed them off to see any injuries. Luckily there were none. the blood must have come from the guy.

Vaders ok. She's got a swollen wrist from the guy beating on her and a sore shoulder. The cops got here and sure enough, he had robbed the house three doors down, and the house next to me!!! and in the yard was an object they assumed he was gonna use as a slim jim to get the door open.

I guess he was going to break in to my Brother in laws mustang and either steal it or take the stereo or the electronics in it. He had already broken in to my barn where the puppies stay, hince why Vader had gotten out and was PISSED. I guess the guy thought no one was home since my truck was parked around the side of the house, and my hubby had taken a load of equipment to our other place....

Ugh.. Once again Thanks to my girls I'm safe and so is our place!!!!

The guy got away last night, it was too dark to see the vehicle he parked down the road and left in... but early this morning i got a phone call from the sheriffs department, and sure enough a man matching the discription went in to the Emergancy room with dog bite wounds.
He claimed HIS dog was playing with him and got over excited.... When the Police got there they found alot of the stolen stuff in the trunk of the guys car!!!!! What an IDIOT!!!
He's supposively ( I don't know the facts about it but from what I was told, has a theft and several assault charges on him already!!!)
The girls were checked out this morning and everythings ok. A little sore, but definately got the praises from me and the rest of the town!!!

I wached my survalence video last night and played it back, and she was just alerting to him being there, but when he persisted to swing at her she went in for the bite to keep him out of the puppy room and away from the house. Then precious comes in just as he hits Vader and grabs his arm.... I'm sooo lucky to have such great dogs!!!!
All the other dogs were kenneled, but I'm sure if they were all out, every one of them would have been there to help!!! It was quite the scene last night and went by sooo fast....

The guy definately can't say he was just "walking by" I have him coming in to my property from my neighbors yard, sneeking down the fence line and looking around.. he tried for the door of the car on the passengers side first, then figured it was locked and went to the puppy room. He jammed it open, and out comes Vader... His first mistake...

me too. whats scary is that this is a GREAT area. But its in the country right out side of town, So i guess they figured no one would see them..... well. they thought wrong!

 

Good on the girls glad they are ok and yourself.
Just goes to show how far your babies will go to protect you and the home and especially there babies.

The man wants to think himself lucky that it was only vader and precious even thoght thats enough, I do not think he would have walked or ran away if all your dogs got involved.

NO. I did not call the media. I don't want them involved. Boerboels don't need that kind of publication even thought it was a "good" thing. Some how some way they'll warp it around.

The local newspaper wants to do an article. I might let them, but I definately don't want it everywhere. I've already gotten "complaints". Their rediculous of course. One lady was just besides herself that I had so called "vicious attack dogs".

My dogs don't bite unless prevoked. Had the man STOPED what he was doing, and left, Vader would have continued to alert, and precious as well. The fact that he proceeded towards the pups and swung and HIT them... is why they bit. Boerboels have to be pressed in order to bite. They try and try to bluff their way outta a situation, but if threatned or the "assailant" proceeds, then they take the next step.

They only exherted the force needed to handle the situation and returned to me the moment he left. as soon as he backed off they stopped and thats the "best" part of it. They came to check up on me right after as if to make sure I was ok. Then they both wanted to go to their babies...

 

Gotta love the Boerboels! Congrats to the girls for sure and I'm glad they're all doing okay. I can't beleive the gumption of some people...sounds like a dangerous guy to proceed beyond the dog though.

What did the cops say about the attack? I wonder only because of the law that they're trying to pass down there and whatnot...

They congratulated the dogs, and since it was on my porperty and my dogs only did as they felt necessary, there's nothing they can do. I do have security signs and the whole ordeal was on survalence. (they have it). As long as it was defense and not an all out unprevoked attack on public property, tis ok.
