pregnant black skirt tetra?

    one of my black skirt tetras is becoming extremely large at its bottom sides when i look at it straight foward and every time i give the fish food it always eats and eats, i dunno wat to do, wat should i do if it is pregnant?

    Tetra's are egg scatteres not live bearers so it's probably not pregnant and if there are no eggs you won't have any fry.

    What, how much, and how often are you feeding it?
    Do the scales look like they're sticking out like a pinecone?
    What are your readings for ammonia, nitrIte, and nitrAte?
    How big is the tank and what fish are in it?

    Hi Jacz, That is normal. Every Blackskirt I've had has always gotten more than their fair share at feeding time and bulged at the belly.
