Ok. i meantioned that Boe (we Byboer, Boe for short) has some points on his elbows and hocks that have formed the pressure callouses. Does anyone have any ideas as to how to help them?
I've done the bag balm with the girls and haven't had much luck. They always stay on soft things.

I've thought about being a bit unconventional and try something my grandmother suggested. She puts vasalene on her hands and thenw ears gloves over night. I'm wondering if I did that to his spots, then wrapped them with vet wrap, if that would make a diffrence. What do yall think?

    Thanks Honey's!

We're using Udder cream right now. He won't leave the vet wrap on... go figure. So we have to rub it in really well so he won't lick it off.

He's pretty good about not bothering it.

Also, he LOVES to lay on the cool concrete. I keep shavings in the kennels and he's got a giant overstuffed bed, and a temperpedic pad to lay on, but he insists on digging up the shavings and laying on the concrete.... any suggetions?

I'd like to try and get this better. We've got the appraisal coming up in october. I know they dis reguard that, but their so ugly.

As for the hot spots. Kabuki got a yucky one on her side. We went to the beach the other weekend, and its clearing up!!! The hair is already growing back and she hasn't bothered it since.

So maybe a trip to the beach would help???

Might try Ichthammol ointment, it's ugly black tary stuff but it will soften just about anything on the skin. It's the stuff you put on wounds as a drawing salve.
I used it on a bad burn I got on my arm from my lawnmower after it got infected and it helped to loosen up the bad skin and soften up the scar tissue.
