Puppy bedtime, won't calm down

We have a one year old yellow lab. We got her at 6 weeks old and she has always slept in the laundry room at night. We thought since she doesn't get into our things as much anymore, maybe she can sleep with us in our bedroom at night. The problem is that she will not calm down in our bedroom at night. It takes about 45 min to an hour for her to lay down. She is trained and she will lay down on command but when I go to lay down, she gets up to play. I need your advise. I'll try anything.

    Hi and welcome.

Just wondering if she is calm in the laundry room then why not let her continue sleeping there? Shes probably either just a little excited with being in the same room as you or even a little unsettled now with the change in routine. Dogs are creatures of habit and can have behavioural changes when theyre normal routine is disrupted.

She is very calm in the laundry room, she knows its her bedtime, I just thought that because she likes to be with us so much, she would like to sleep in the same room. What you said makes sense. Thank you.

Yea I totally agree with DeLaUK here..Thats her routine and it should be kept like that, interuption of that can cause confusion even though your there..
Theres plenty of hours in the day for her to play and see you.. :D
