Ok, we're racing this weekend. And i'm torn between taking a couple of the dogs. I think it would be good socialization and diffrent noises for them... but even though our "spot" is far from the track its still kind of loud...

My biggest concern is their ears. I don't want them being damaged by the loud cars and trucks. I wear earplugs, but I'm thinking they probably don't make them for the dogs. and if they do... I highly doubt they'll keep them on.

What do you think? For the most part they'll stay in the camper... but still... is it too loud ya think??

I would personally not take them. It could be quite a traumatic experience with all that noise. I still don't think Freckles has recovered from the St. Patrick Day parade when a couple of bagpipes cranked up near us in the parade formation area.

They're used to the guys starting the trucks here at the house and revving them up. Precious likes to sit in her daddy's racing truck while he works on it. I on the other hand don't like it at all. While she may enjoy it, i'm scared its bad for her ears....

I don't think it's hard on their ears. I do think it could be traumatic for the pups...even if they're used to the home noises there are a lot of other noises at a race track to get used to...JMO
