Midas is now in kitty heaven, he recently got much worse, and I had to take him yesterday.

I am so racked with guilt that maybe there was something I didnt do right to make him so sick, and that he could have lived a much longer fuller life, He did have a wonderful 7 years with us after I got him from a rescue, but he is resting now overlooking a beautiful hill in our front yard

    I'm so sorry, honeybears.

I do the guilt thing to myself, too, but I feel confident in telling you that you did everything you could. We can only do what we know at the time. You can't learn things and then look back and torture yourself for things you didn't know. And even if you could do everything "right" all the time, diseases still happen.

The important thing is that Midas had a wonderful 7 years with you and he was very happy. Now he is waiting for you. You will meet again, in time!

    Oh Honeybears:
My thoughts and prayers are with you. I am so sorry for your loss.
Please remember that although no one can fully share the pain of your cat's passing, do remember that there are many people who share your grief and will give you comfort and support to get through your sorrow.
    Sincerely,
    Susan

thank you for all of your kind thoughts, poor wylie was in a tizzy last night, her and Midas were bery close, even though I had been letting Midas sleep outside (he loved it the last few weeks), he always came in about 5 am and snuggled up with my husband.

Well Wylie kept wanting to go out last night, which she never does because she is afraid of the dark and kept going over to the gate. I think she was looking for Midas., even thoguh Midas never went out the gate. I did let her and Jake see Midas before he was buried hoping that would help, but I dont think they understood.

    Thanks again

Awwww, that's so hard!! I think it makes the grief worse when you see others suffering who can't understand.

Hang in there, and come talk to us when you need to!
