I'm very sorry. We recently lost our 20 year old to kidney failure. We let him died on his own rather than euthanize him - we felt it was the best situation for him considering his personality, but I don't think I'll ever do it again. Then almost exactly 1 1/2 months later we had to put down our 17 year old because she had cancer that was spreading very quickly, her thyroid problem suddenly got worse (probably cancer as well), and she was in the beginning stages of crashing from kidney failure.

I'm so sorry for your loss but at least you did all you could to make it easy for your baby. I commend you for that. Just think of the others that don't go the miles to take care and comfort the babies. But YOU did it. I commend you and thank you :y_the_best:

i know how it feels to be heartbroken. i was when my otis died a little over a year ago. he was almost twenty. im so sorry for your loss. i got a kitten about two weeks later, on a (strong) suggestion from my brother in law. i didnt think i was "ready". but i went to a breeder, and bought a tiny little bengal, two months old. he stole my heart. and now i have three kitties!! and they are so wonderful. the sadness passes. but it broke my heart when he died. :(

I'm sorry to hear what happened. :( I think all of us around here can understand how tough it is to handle.
