Real Tree Perches

Hello everyone, I live in Vancouver which is on the westcoast or for you americans the pacific northwest , anyways I was wondering if anyone ever goes into the woods and gets real branches for perches?? Would look much much better, do you need to wash them or prune them etc?? I know you can use like Apple tree branches but I dont know where apple trees are I mean more of like pine trees or maple leaf trees etc, thanks

 

Hi natural tree branches are great for birds and they love them as the bark has all natural minerals and nutrients in it but they should be scrubbed to make sure they are thoroughly cleaned to make sure there is no contaminants on them and also should be different sizes as this helps exercise there feet and toes as they would in the wild..
