the story behind the motherless kittens was....

someone took a Siamese to the shelter in Springfield, MA along with her 5 newborn kittens. The person who took them in said she was a stray hanging out around his house and he was able to trap her and the kittens. The mother was very protective of her kittens and attacked shelter workers whenever they tried to feed her - so they put her down

We don't believe that's the story at all...all of the 5 kittens are 100% sealpoint. There wasn't a one of them that had any markings to suggest they were a mix at all. We think the person that took the mother to shelter was actually her owner and mother cat became very possessive of her babies and the owner couldn't do anything with her or the kittens. Also it would have been nearly impossible to trap a mother cat AND her 5 kittens at once as this person claimed.

So Siamese Rescue got the babies out just in time so they missed the big E  I got them when they were 4 weeks old. It's a shame they couldn't stay with their mom for a few more weeks cause the did have behavior issues from their loss of her. The shelter was extremely full from kitten season and they just didn't have the resources to deal with a sad/scared new mother kitty. I wish rescue had been able to get her pulled too (they didn't know about her prior to her death).

I had the kittens on the rescue website about 3 hours after I got them and by that following night I had over 100 inquiries on them (boy that was fun)...these were New England's first siamese rescue kittens - and I got to care for them
