Shelf Life of canned dog food?

Do you know the shelf life of an open can of dog food covered in the fridge? I just started giving my dog cans because he became finicky. Right now I am giving him 1/4 of a small can each meal so 1 can lasts me 2 days. I wanted to buy a larger can because it is cheaper, but that would probably last me four days instead and didnt know how long it is good for opened.

As long as you keep it covered well with plastic wrap, or you can buy the reusable plastic can lids... I think 4 days would be ok. Be sure your heating it just a bit so its room temp or slightly warm to the touch. Cold food isn't good for them. Dogs would NATURALLY eat body temp food, or room temp....

This just reminded me of something. You may already know this, but if you don't - don't put the can in the microwave! Trust me on this. It's bad.

I agree with 4 days max. That's the longest I ever save it for otherwise I throw it out.
