Should Hartz brand Flea and Tick products be banned ?

    A member almost lost her cat after using a Hartz flea/tick product. This is not an isolated incident . Hartz is allowed to continue to sell it. Proheart 6 was also found to be fatal to numerous pets and was eventually recalled by the manufacturer due to public outcry (pet owners) .Can the same be done re Hartz flea/tick products?

    I think it should after, I ant remember who posted this week about Hartz, that said if you call, they say okay press 1 if your cat is having a siezure, I couldnt beleive that, to me it shows its very toxic :(

    I believe that by the end of the year all Hartz flea/tick products are supposed to be off store shelves

    I don't like their new labeling. Just b/c a cat is over 6 lbs doesn't mean it won't get sick. My grandmothers cat is over 20 lbs and that stuff made him sick. He didn't have to go to the vet but still.

    I wonder why they are waiting til 2006. If they think it is dangerous enough to take off the market in 2006...why not do it now???????? That is just stupid.
