Well my dog is over (well pretty much over) his URI. He sneezes at times but he is much better. But now there is another problem. Every morning for the past 2 days he throws up this yellow substance. Very similar to egg yolk. DOes anyone know offhand whatthis is or what it could mean? Also because I have been feeding him when ever his bowl is empty as recomended by the vet b/c he is under weight he sometimes deficates in the house when we are not home. Is this a learned behavior or just because of the increase of food? He still goes outside no problem but maybe an 2 hours or so later he goes in the house (that isif I am not home)
    Any sugestions?
    Thanks

it very well could be a reaction, you should wait using proudcts like that until they are very healthy,

I would call the vet and tell them and see if you need to bring him in

Usually yellow vomit on an empty stomach is bile. Generally it's not a cause for alarm. Sometimes it means you should feed more often, but it sounds like you are already doing that. You might mention it to the vet, just to be sure.

About the defecating in the house - I think the only thing you can do about this is to not allow him access to the food while you are gone.

Jamiya, i think you might be right, i have been cutting back on his feeding at night so he doesnt have accidents and such in the morning. He seems fine and when he doesnt vomit i feed him and no further problems. I really should get a feeding routein set for him
    Thanks

Feeding him after he vomits bile shouldn't hurt. I would think he would still keep the food down okay. Try it and see! :)

my husky threw up the yellow stuff as a puppy after she'd wake up from her naps. she still does it on occasion and i've never known exactly why she does it, but our vet assured me it was normal and nothing to worry about. my poor girl knows when she's ready to do it, she makes the saddest face at me, her ears go completely down to the sides and her eyes get all big and she runs to the door, and she holds it until she can make it outside. she usually goes to her food and eats right after she gets some water so i guess it meant she just must be hungry. she sleeps for 10 hours at night, then 12 during the day, so inbetween her busy schedule of napping she often forgets to eat unless i go and wake her up.

as far as making a mess in the house, try to leave a potty pad out while you're gone in case he does have to go. i don't know if he ever learned on them as a young puppy but our husky did when she was very little and even though we trained her to go outside immediately, when she was sick and i had to be gone all day we left some in her room and she remembered to use them.

They only vomit bile when their stomachs are empty, so filling up the tummy should stop the vomiting.
