Skittishness

    Can fish see thru the sides of glass tanks?? Because I cant see my hand thru the side but I heard if you cover the sides up it helps calm their skittishness and of course covering the back helps alot.

    My one side is againt a Entertainment unit... I guess it help my fish arnt very skidish tho. If you can look throught the sides i think tha would be cool

    Yes, the fishes can see out the sides of the tank. The reflection you see is only an illusion from the water in the tank.
    Is your tank in a high traffic area of your house? If it is then your fishes might hide everytime someone approaches. Some types of fishes will hide more than others. I have found that long plastic plants provide a little more hiding spots and can make your fishes stay out more. You might also try to not approach your tank too quickly and only at feeding time.
