    MaiTai might have a home.
She has a very good potential adopter working on getting her (going through application process).
This person contacted me a couple of weeks ago asking about MaiTai but at the time her 17 year old cat was very ill and this lady was dealing with the possibility that her cat was nearing the end. She wanted to keep the lines of communication open just in case, yet knew that if an adopter for MaiTai came along she might not get her.
Well she had to have her dear cat PTS this past weekend and her home is already grown empty and lonely.
So she's working on getting MaiTai. The upside being MaiTai will get to stay in New Hampshire, and this lady's mother lives with her so MaiTai would have companionship all day.
So keep your fingers crossed for dear sweet MaiTai. It's bittersweet cause I'll miss her - but it'll open a foster home for another to be saved.
Last week 4 siamese cats in Boston were put down due to no place for them to go.
I'll miss the sweet girl...but I'll also be happy for her to no longer be a foster but she'll be someone's loved family member, and another can be saved.

That's great. I'm sure it'll be sad to see her go as she's become a part of your family, but at the same time, she'll be just as loved by someone else.

How is she going to cope without Dixie? I know you've said they don't really "hang-out" much, but I'm just curious how you think she'll react to being by herself in her new home.

That's wonderful news Mary! I hope it works out for Mai Tai. Sounds like she might be going to a terrific forever home and she'll be in NH where you can easily keep in touch with her.

MaiTai will be fine w/out Dixie. I told her potential new people that as long as she has a warm bed (which will go with her), good food and good love she'll be fine. She doesn't crave feline companionship although she doesn't mind it. She wants love in her senior years...comfort. I think she's going to get that
