Soft claw glue on things??

Anybody use those glue-on soft claw things? I'm getting new vinyl floor put in as I type and I'm worried about what my big 'ol orange boy is going to do to it when he "takes off" across that floor. He has ruined the existing vinyl, but it was real cheap. The new stuff is supossed to be more durable. I've also started trimming his back nails much to his dismay. I was wondering if anyone here has used those things. He bites his nails though, I bet he could bite them off.

We used them a lot in one of the hospitals I worked at, you could give them a try and see if you like them, personally for the amount of work it took to glue them on while trying to hold the cat, while trying to hold them in place for about 45 seconds per claw, to have a few fall off within the first few minutes, to have to redo them..........etc etc, sorry it was one of those 'tedious' experiences. When they did stay on they would be good until the cats claws had grown a little and werent always easy to get off, I saw a few where whoever had put them on had actually glued them to the base of nail on the skin, eventually the claw will pop through but I do remember a couple of cats that had a little infection because of it. I know a couple of people who think there the best thing since.......kitty litter!!

Oh and yes...he will be able to bite them off.

Sorry....a lot of the clients did like them ( and it was a hospital in Beverly Hills so the were very....careful about furniture getting scratched up), if Copper is good with a bit of restraint and you dont have a problem with your vet/techs placing them then it might be worth trying...., we ended up teaching the clients how to put them on...they had some problems and the soft-claws werent selling so well afterwards.
