Hi everyone. I thought I would share a couple of pictures of Socks and Mittens. I love looking at kitty pictures.

Here is a picture of Socks playing with a feather.

Here is a picture of some scratch marks on my furniture.. This is an old chair down in the family Room (my living room furniture doesn't look much better, though). Do you have scratch marks on your furniture?

Socks and Mittens in the same picture. Doesn't happen often.

arwww...what a couple of cuties! I think you managed to get them both in one pic because you kindly left two piles of newspapers sitting next to each other

Yeah, some of my furnature is getting marked up but not too bad, luckily. But my christmas tree on the other hand is another story.

Great pics. I place small scratching posts up against our furniture corners where they like to scratch. It really saves our new furniture. More picies please!

Your kitties are so beautiful! :D

What is it with cats and wanting to lay on top of something??
e.g news papers, magazines, my book when I'm reading, and the computer keyboard when I'm typing... Why the keyboard???
Kyrre never lies down on that when I'm not in front of the computer... But when I am, he is stretching out all over my hands, pretending to IGNORE ME!
Sometimes he is a snotty, stuck up brat!

But.. I love him anyway

(Sorry if i took a little detour here... )

    Great pictures! :D

If I can, I'll get some pictures of my scratched-up furniture. They did a number on the chair (which your cats actually started since it was your's before mine! But let me tell you, the chair got worse.)

(If some of you didn't know, Sunset05 is my mother so I have her old chair at my house.)

I have two huge cat condos and still my cats like the carpet and chair for sharpening their claws.

    Thanks for your responses everyone.

I wasn't thinking about it but you are right, Cassie. They are probably next to each other because of the newspapers on the sofa.

Kitties do love to lie on things. Even when I'm trying to read the Comics one of them will get on my lap and lie right on top of the paper so I can't read it anymore. If I'm sitting on the floor with a map or something spread out in front of me, it's the same thing...kitty comes to lay on it.

I can remember when I was a kid I was doing my homework on the floor and my kitty back then walked on it with dirty paws and layed on top of it. I can't remember if I turned it in to the teacher with the paw marks and wrinkles on it. Probably did.

I think kitties do this to prove that they are in control of the situation and to let us know that they are the boss. Tee Hee. :m9:

I even have those cardboard scratchy thingies lying on the floor for my kitties to scratch instead of the furniture. It sort of works. They do scratch them...but they still scratch the furniture. Especially Mittens. She does it more when she is looking for attention. Oh well. what's a mommy to do? I guess just give them a lot of love. :)
