someone mentioned telling Molly's story

it all started on a July day in 2005
actually I knew about this litter of GSD pups being fostered by a woman in Michigan. I've known her for a few years via a dog board and had followed the progress of her foster pups since day 1 when a very pregnant GSD was taken in by the shelter she fosters for.
My GSD, Sadie, passed away last October. The DH and myself were going to wait until spring to get another dog - I wanted an older dog he wanted a puppy.
In November I started to check out shelters in NH for GSD dogs and everytime I found one that fit our criteria I'd yell for DH to come look. He'd always say "thought we agreed to wait until spring" to which I'd say "I'm just shopping"
so I posted on this other dog board I was starting to miss having a dog. And Molly's foster mom emailed me asking me if I wanted one of her fosters, that the shelter had given her complete control in homing the pups.
She emailed me pictures (we wanted a female) of the only female pup left (there were 2 females, 5 males in the litter).
So I took all the pictures home and had my little speech all prepared...even a little jingle to sing all evening "oh look at that puppy in the picture woof woof the one with the curly little tail". My plan was to make DH surrender in order to hold onto his sanity cause trust me I can't sing.
He caved right away confusing me. I didn't even have to give my speech or sing (someone must have forewarned him).
Anyway Thanksgiving weekend the foster mom's son brought Molly home with him from MI (he lives in Plattsburgh, NY and spent the holiday with his family). We drove to Plattsburgh to meet him and bring Molly home.
Shortly after someone from Indiana started contacting shelters in MI asking if a very pregnant GSD had been found in July. Apparently Molly's parents are "show confirmation" (I still think they were BYBers) GSDs and the pups were valuable. They weren't happy to hear mom had been spayed and adopted and all pups were also adopted (foster mom kept 2, one was returned to her with a broken paw).
So my $170 shelter pup turned out to be all shepherd. And I've wanted a black/tan shepherd since I was a kid. Always had mixes and my last dog was a white GSD.
That's her story....she went from being the produce of a probably BYBer who let their very pregnant unmicrochipped, uncollared GSD run around loose in a strange place. She got picked up and held the allotted time, gave birth, got rehomed and all the pups got good homes.
And I WAS and still AM very honored Molly's foster mom trusted me enough to grace my life with this dog, not knowing me at all.
She had followed my posts about my Sadie dawg for a few years and felt I would offer a good home.
Now I can't let the woman down LOL such a burden

    Great story!

    You are truly blessed.

You can tell that she is pedigree and I when her build fills in (naturally by two years) she is really going to be a head turner! Georgeous.
