sorry i haven't been around much

today was a bad day - about 5 years ago I went to a New England Siamese Internet Cat Club get together and met some wonderful people. One was a nice woman who recently left her government job and went to FLA to care for her mother who is in the early stages of Alzheimer. This woman was active in siamese rescue, supporting them financially and adopting a couple of meezers.

She was 53 years old. Her poor dear elderly mother found her deceased last night. Our hearts are broken. I was just chatting with the Monday night!!!! Another member had a phone call from her last night.

It's hard to imagine people from boards, people who "chat" with on a daily basis passing away and when you don't physically know them it's like losing someone you've only heard about - but meeting them puts it in a while different perspective. And her mother found her!!! That had to be so painful for that woman.

So I've been a little sad over this.

no need to appologise Mary.. i'm sure everyone totally understands. and i know what u mean about when u meet someone it really hits harder.

thats a sad story, mary. makes me really think about the people in this forum. i do feel very close to everybody. we get to know each other lives...some of their families, kitty cats, dogs...
