Space needed for goldfish

    Just a question...


    Why do Goldfish need more space then tropical fish?

    Since this didn't pertain to the thread you posted it in, I made it its own thread.

    Goldfish need space because they get very large and are very messy.

    The fancy varieties (fantails, telescopes, orandas, moors, etc) generally get 6" - 8", shubunkins get 8" - 10", and commons/comets can get well over 12". They are not small fish.
