Stuff in Brie's ear?

Brie has stuff in her right ear only. It's brownish/reddish colored and flaky and her ear doesn't smell any worse than usual. She's not scratching it either. Any ideas what it could be? I wiped it out with a tissue which she did not appreciate but did tolerate--which means she didn't draw blood lol. It wasn't waxy either like they usually get in the convoluted part of the ear.

ear mites? Vet can look under a microscope. Not sure if dogs get ear mites but with cats they treat with Ivermectin

Could be ear mites or yeast.

Thanks for the replies guys. I was wondering about ear mites too, but it wasn't black or smelly. But the link Mary gave said reddish-brown. I cleaned it all out and then had to zip up to Atlanta. It's not back yet, so I guess I'll just watch and see.
