Well its that time again. Already broke 90 and its hot hot hot outside!!!

Every summer I love to do neat cheap homemade things for the dogs to help them enjoy the summertime and cool off!

Heres a few tricks i do that your dogs may enjoy too!

    Pupcicles:

    8oz plastic or styra cup
    water
    rawhide chew stick

fill cup 3/4 full of water and put in freezer, once its gotten a good crust of ice on top, insert the rawhide stick in the middle (this will help hold it in place). Freeze for a day and then peel off cup or run warm water on outside and give dogs their popcicle!
I flavor mine with chicken or beef stock and you can add treats on the inside as well, some kibble, milk bones or liver treats.

I also enjoy buying the FrostyPaws icecream cups for the dogs as well. They LOVE those.

I always get them a large kiddie pool for them to lay in and cool down and if you can, find the old style ice blocks, I add that to them and the dogs really love chewing on them and pushing them around the pool. Also helps to keep the water cool during the day!

You can also make your own by getting a plastic shoebox, add ice and then a toy or treat to the middle, That way the dogs have to lick their way to the goodie inside!!!
