This was in a newsletter from Kathy Cascade, a TTouch practitioner and trainer. I thought it was a good point!

    Wow! great points!

Yeah, I have a funny story reguarding the restaraunt and someone taking my food once!

We were at a really upclass and nice romantic restaurant.
This other couple had their son with them , maybe 5-6 yrs old... They were letting him runn and scream all over the restaraunt..Not even paying attention to him. HE knocked over several serving trays, tripped a waiter, and finnally ran up to my table, grabbed a peice of bread roll right out of my hand and took off running!!

The management was fuming at this time as theywere warned SEVERAL times to keep their CHILD under control.
So he threw them out and gave them our bill, and three other tables bill for spilling the serving trays, along with everything the kid had damaged or broken.

I'm a firm believer that small children should not go to "romantic" and very upscale restaraunts. Unless their parents can control them and they behave.

I mean, this place is notorious for being the "mariage proposal" hot spot.
How would you like it if a kid interuped a romantic moment like that? Ugh

But back to the subject. I agree with the post. I think dogs are just like us. Only if we could speak the same language.

Great article. I do believe that dogs show more appropriate behavior than people sometimes.

Imagine if he had stolen the engagent ring instead of your dinner roll

That's totally the fault of the parents. So many parents are totally stupid, or they have the attitude that "they're just kids" so they accept whatever behavior as "normal" and not something that can be changed.

I hate it even at a place like an amusement park. We went on Halloween to Worlds of Fun and they had it all decorated with pumpkins and hay bales and scarecrows and different Halloween-y things. I saw kids several times playing with the pumpkins, dropping them, throwing them, kicking them like soccer balls while their parents watched. Apparently these parents were never taught by their own parents to respect others' property and so their kids will never learn either.

People have such low expectations for their kids so many times and then the kids live up to them (or rather, down to them...).

It's sort of like that with dogs, too. Someone has a dog that's the "best dog ever." The dog dies and they get a new one. But THIS dog has some weird habits and doesn't just "know everything" like their old dog did, so they get rid of it. Train it? What's that??

I know alot of people like that. One couple wanted to get one of Chars last litter and I denied them. they said "oh our old heeler was PERFECT, you never have to teach them anything..their just wonderful dogs.." hmmm..they must have adopted a trained dog then..But there was no way they were getting one of mine. They would find out the hard way that they DO have to be trained, and I wasn't risking them dumping it, or giving it away, or worse....

You know. They are starting to require you to have licences to breed animals, and drive, and ect...I honesly think there should be a licence to have children!! And a class thats required for all first time parents....

Loved the article. makes some good points. If someone took my food i'd bite them lol. We went to a steak house once and mike and i would go out to get away from kids. They seated these people very close to us. TYhis little boy got up walked to our table, and stood there just staring. Why don;t people realize some people don't want to be bothered with their kids.
