Taking the boys to visit Camp Canine this weekend

I posted this link a while back about this great boarding kennel south of Houston. At $25.00 per night per dog it seemed a bit high until I realized how much I actually paid at my "regular" kennel on their last visit.
Besides the standard rate per night I had to add $5.00 each per day for just 1/2 hour "play time" plus they automatically charge you for a bath if the stay is over two nights. When I looked at my receipt I saw they charged $18.00 to bathe Duke and $36.00 for Freckles. The thing is, as soon as I pick them up I take them to the dog park where they both jump into the swimming hole.
So for my vacation in September I have decided to park them at Camp Canine where everything is not only included but they will have a ball.
To see if they "qualify" we are going down for a visit this Sunday. Since they limit number of dogs boarded, they stay together as a pack for the entire time, swimming, hiking, and lounging around the pool and bunkhouse. The camp councilors are with them all day.
Duke can get a bee up his butt if another dog tries to dominate him or picks on Freckles. I will have to see how he does and discuss his personality with the camp councilors.
Here is the link to their website. I'll let you know Monday how the visit went.

I sure hope it works out, that is such a cool place. Sounds like Duke is real protective of Freckels. Jake would love a place like that, but I could never take Wylie to she would freak out with all of the loose dogs.

Good luck! Definitely let us know how it goes. Explain to Duke that it's either that or a cage in a kennel, so he'd better leave the bees at home! :D
