We've just been down to 2 of our lfs to get some prices on equipment for when I begin to breed Guppies (yea I decided on guppies). These are the prices I came out with-
    pump-$9.75
    filter-$4.75
    heater-$22.50
    breeder box-$8.00
& is a 14" tank a good size or should I be looking at a bigger one?
All those prices are for a 14" tank.
I posted a while ago that my dad got that old tank we were going to fix up but that plan has been scratched.

    Thanks

I believe a 14" tank is about 5 gallons (but can't be sure w/o knowing the other dimensions). 5 gallons does not hold very many guppies (4 or 5 adults at the most). You'd be a lot better off with a 10 or 20 gallon tank.

Thanks. I knew that if my guppy/ies had babies there would be A LOT but I wasn't sure of how much room they needed.

i was just thinking the same thing.....a heater my brother bought for his 55 gallon cost less then $22.00, so for a 5 gallon it should be quite cheap.

My 300 watt titanium heater for my 75 gallon only cost $20.
