tankmates for 400g tank

    what are some other good tank mates for green texans, oscars and jack dempsies??????????

    hmmm, plecos and other CA or SA cichlids with similar size and temperments....i good one would be a vieja synspilum.

    wow 400g eh, What are the dimensions?

    Some cool fish would be

    - Blue Acara
    - Salvini
    -Cons, Not a breeding pair
    -Sevrums
    -Red texas are cool
    -Managuense Cichlid?
    -This says it will go good with dempseys and Oscars but im not sure

    Considering the aggressive nature of the fish you have planned and the fact that you plan on keeping several of them together, it's better to allot a little more than 50 gallon/fish (the more you have, the less likely it is that they will all get along).

    2 oscars, 2 JD's, 2 GT's and a pleco or two would be a really nice stocking level for a 400 gallon tank. Especially if you end up with breeding pairs. The others will need lots of room to get away from the overly aggressive breeding fish.

    If you do add anything else, I woldn't add any more aggressive fish. Maybe some larger schooling fish like bala sharks, tinfoil barbs, or silver dollars.
