well, if any of u recall i had posted once awhile back asking how loveable and 'attention seeking' kittens were supposed to be usually. it had been such a long time since i had a kitten again.

i had asked because Raz hadnt been acting very loveable, always running around and preferring to sleep with Lex and such.

Now, i'm happy to say (only coz i'm greedy for kitty attention) he's changing... he's usually always at my feet weaving between my legs, when i sit down he makes a game of jumping up, getting petted (tail going vertical with a sharp whipping action of course lol) and jumping down again - repeat until i get tired.

when he's sititng in my lap i can stay lightly petting him and talking to him and he gets all excited, he flops on his side and starts twisting and writhing in my lap poking his head up to 'look' at me when i stop lol it's too funny.

when i'm on the puter he'll fall asleep purring in my lap, or now when i'm on the couch he's usually purring and laying by me.

he was never so affectionate- and i was getting used to the idea maybe he wasnt one of those attention whores like Lex is.

so this is happy news for me lol

oh, and whenever i lay him down to clean around his sockets he tollerates it and just puuuuuuuurrs away :)

    just thought i'd share heh

i agree...i think it has to do with you!!!

although max went through a stage that all he did was play...stopped sleeping with me. that lasted about a month...around the five or six month mark.

i am so glad...he is really going to be a special cat...like lexie!!

Thats wonderful EF! I was just reading in a book today that many kittens go through an avoidence period even socialized ones. I wonder if thats what Raz was going through? Anyway, glad to hear he is more lovable with you now. :y_the_best:

hehe thanks for the comments peeps :) i'm happy about it too.

    he's such a good baby.

Does Raz react to catnip? If you havent tried it already, you can get a catnip spray and spray it on the scracthing post :)

I'm very happy for you EF! I remember how excited I was when Moe finally started sitting on my lap. Now she's on my lap ever minute I sit down.

LOL's EF. I agree with Bente. I'd use a little catnip or even a catnip mouse on the scratching post to encourage your toddler!
