The Boys Un-crated, good news.

For short times, up to one hour, I have trusted the boys to be out alone while we went out. Last Friday I decided to trust them a bit longer as we left for a baseball game. As we were about to leave both of them went into their crates automatically. As I was fastening the kiddie gate that keeps them confined to the den and kitchen both were peering out of their crates looking at me with a very perplexed expression. Once the gate was in place I called them over for treats.

They were out for 4 1/2 hours and no damage to the house that I could find and no "accidents".

Good boys got another treat when we returned. I will keep extending their time out alone and now I do have hope that soon the crates will be a thing of the past and two extra "security" guards will be patrolling the house while we are out.

Good luck! My girls were fine for months, and then they started eating the carpet and furniture. :|

Thats great, I used to leave the crate doors open and most of them would go in and sleep in there till I came home (I did spy on them a couple of times....webcams are great for that :D )

I always wanted to set up a webcam so I could see how Nala was managing to fold up an ex-pen so she could get out....

Thats great Dukesdad! You must be so proud. :D
I think I got lucky with Natalie. I only confined her to the kitchen while I was out until she was 6 months old and after that she got free roam of the house and has been an angel everytime she's been left alone since then.
