    Hi:

I just got finished e-mailing a professional photographer for CHRISTMAS present ideas!

I am going to have professional pictures taken of my husband and his favorite dog Cairo (Mind you we own 6 dogs) for a Christmas present idea. I will take it to a shop and get it professionally matted and framed.

I am also going to get a family pic of all of us My husband and our 3 children ages 24, 21 and 18. and our 6 dogs and our cats too!!!
LOL Lucky photographer!!!! Oh yea, Cassondra my middle daughter has a pet snake and a rabbit (Don't know if they will all fit in the pic) LOL

I think that would be a great Christmas present for all.

Anyone else get pics done of their animals and family too? Or does anyone have any ideas for Christmas presents for doggie type people???

    Sue

That sounds like a wonderful idea...good luck to the photographer fitting all those animals in the shot! When I graduated high school my mother had a photographer take pictures of me and my horse. Adam and I recently did our engagement picture with Annie, but we didn't go to a professional. We just let mom use my nice camera and it came out really well. I really like those pendants too! What a neat idea.
Last Christmas my mother had a calendar made for me with all of my different animals and family members pictures on each month, I loved it.

My birthday is this month and I am going to treat myself to a jacket with my dogs and cats embroidered on it. There is a local place that had a booth at a recent agility trial. They do standard breeds or you can give them a photo of your animals to go by. Their work is higher quality that many of the online or mail-order places I have seen.

Last year we did Christmas photos of the kids and dogs in front of the tree, but it was really challenging because Bonnie didn't know "stay" and she was afraid of the camera! I would love to get the cats in the photo as well, but they are afraid of the dogs. Maybe I'll try it this year.

I was going to get the girls pictures professionally just to have, didn't even think to be in them and make a gift outta them!!!

My birthday is in December 18th... I'm treating myself and my girls to an outting to the Millie Bush Dog Park and then to the down town Barkery.

I ordered the girls presents from Dr. Foster and Smiths this weekend. Precious got a pair of Doggles, a 24" rawhide bone in the shape of a candy cane, a new pair of bitch britches and a 3 tier box of treats (chicken Jerkies, liver treats, and pork skins). Kabuki got a pair of Doggles a hoodie shirt that says "Mommies girl", a giant Kong and a 6lb tub of doggie cookies.

I got Tubby a faux fur sweater and a tiny kong and a Giant rawhide bone... for that "Little Dog Complex" she has... she Really likes the BIG bones, she can't carry them around, and their like 3 times her size, but she absolutely LOVES them!!!

Several years ago Dukesmom had Robert Ramos, an artist in San Antonio, do this portrait of my old Jake as my Christmas present. He worked in pen and ink and oil pastels.from a photo.
We have it framed in our living room. Think I will see if he's still around and have him do the same for both Duke and Freckles.
