i know the image is bad, it's from my web cam... but here is the little sneak.. taking his first lungfull of night air.

he has managed to find his way up onto the 4 and some odd foot window ledge(off the floor) where he's 'seen' Lex sitting on numerous occasions whent he sun was shining in just right to silhoette Lex body.

i did a double take.. never thought h'ed be so determined to pull himself up a buncha boxes -into a laundry basket (which i had to move for the picture) and then off of that to the ledge.

Oh geez is nothing sacred anymore? lol

i'm gonna be peeling this little bugger off the ceiling pretty soon.

i've taken him off the sill each time.. but he keeps going back up. like he is now... *grumbles* i can't really see the harm tho.. he seems to really like it up there... what do u guys think?

LOL's! He's one determined kitty and nothing deters him. Sounds like he knows the entire layout of his home and is enjoying himself, immensely. :p I'm so happy for him! As long as the screen is secure, he'll be fine. 8)

cute? cute?? lol he gave me a heart attack.

he's so little and it's so far up... an i'm paranoid.

    speaking of which

yeah it's secure... but dont u think there might float by some dust particals or any other kinda eye irritant that might cause infection? i know i'm being over protective... but he's 'special' and i wanna look out for him.

Oh jeez! I would have had a heart attack too if the window was open and there was no screen. Otherwise, if the window was closed, I think he would be just fine. It's funny, because often the seeing impaired have a much better idea, as to their surroundings and how to move about.

i was scared he'd fall off the ledge inside. heh

but i guess this means my little baby is growing up. His world is expanding and he's having so much fun exploring it. Sometimes i forget he has a disability, because he's acting like any other little kitten.

but then other times.. i find myself underestimating him- like i'm sure alot of real mothers do with their babies. and again- we get surprised. :)

I went through all that with Angus - it's normal. They have a disabled 'sense' and you feel like you have to protect them - that sensation is twice as strong and, I've learned, unnecessary. They learn, they adjust, they cope and do well. Don't worry, he IS just like any other kitten, except he can't really see all that stuff he's playing with or tasting. He can probably figure out by smell which room he's in and can tell where you are by sound. :) The fresh air will be good for him and he's gonna have his tumbles, just like any other kittycat.. but I hear ya, sister, because every time I see Raz's picture I alternate between my heart hurting for his rotten birth-luck and wanting to kiss his little face all over, and amazement that animals can learn to adapt to just about anything!
