I have never put a cat on a diet/exercise program before, just dogs. I have 4 cats, two are a little over a year and are the fattest. Isabelle is 11.88 pounds and she should be around 9, Giles is 11.45 and he should be 9-10 pounds(he has a big pouch under his belly)

My other two cats are kittens around6-7months old. One of them looks to be perfect weight but he is starting to get a pouch too and the other kitten is perfect weight.

I already bought a low calorie food, and all the cats seem to like it. Could I just feed them all the low calorie or is that not good for the kittens? Even though one is getting a pouch. I think it would be a lot easier to feed them all the same food, so I hope its ok. The food I got is from my work, its Royal Canin restricted calorie.

Also what else can I do to help them loose weightI'll play with them to try and make them run but is their anything else I can do?

    Thanks!

I'm not sure if I would be comfortable feeding a low calorie food to growing kittens....before doing so you might want to ask your vet about that just to be safe.
My fattest, Bella, has finally started to lose some weight after being on a lower calorie diet for a few months. The other fatties seem to have lost a bit too but its not as noticeable. On the other hand, Hoggle, who was already thin has gotten thinner on this diet so I've been giving him some extra canned food.

Hi Winnie. Do you have a laser pointer and a floor to ceiling cat tree? Those two things are both great to help get your kitties in better shape.
