I just got this in my e-mail today and thought I'd share the news. I hope it's not a hoax:

There has been a recall on "Diamond Pet Food" due to toxic mold. Seven dogs have already died in the Rochester area because of the dog food containing the mold. If you feed your dogs or cats Diamond food, please check their website to see if your food is one of the products being recalled:

Three brands of dog and cat food manufactured by Diamond Pet Foods are being recalled because they may contain aflatoxin.
The food is sold under the Diamond, Country Value and Professional labels. It's distributed in 23 states, including North Carolina.
Aflatoxin is a naturally occurring toxic chemical byproduct of mold, which can cause sickness in pets.
For more information call the company at 573-229-4203.

    It's not a hoax unfortunitly

    The states affected are

States serviced by our Gaston facility include Alabama, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky (eastern), Main, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, West Virginia, Vermont, and Virginia.

Just wanted everyone to be aware it's not just North Carolina.
