    and a sad story.
Two 12-14 year old cats - one a sealpoint siamese, other a tuxedo. Mai Tai and Dixie.
They were very loved cats...adored by their person. A year ago she had to go into the hospital for a hernia operation and slipped into a coma.
Before going into the hospital she asked a neighbor and family members if they would take care of her cats during her hospital stay.
And they did in the hopes that when she came out of her coma her precious kitties would be waiting for her.
    She died 2 weeks ago.
The landlord said the cats had to be out by yesterday or he was having them destroyed.
One glinch...the siamese is blind, the tuxedo acts as her eyes.
Two siamese rescue volunteers whisked them out on Monday night and housed them waiting for approval to take them in.
    I'm getting them
I stepped up to the plate cause I feel compelled to take these 2 (my husband will kill me). They have't had any love in a year...they were fed and their litterbox cleaned but no affection.
    They are very fearful.
    I'll post pictures tonight

Mary, I just have to say you are the most devoted person I've had the honour to "meet". What you are doing for these poor kitties is just beyond words! Can't wait to see pictures of these girls (?), sounds like they've been through alot... I know they'll feel welcome at your house :)

That's pretty incredible, Mary. Please take pics of them for us and definitely keep us posted. Those two sure must miss their human mom. :( I'm almost sure they will both have a happily ever after story.
