Uggg stop the race track at 3:30 am!!!

Ok so Harley has been being good for a long time I think he must be testing the BF and I....... 3:30 am race time begins!!!! down the hall into the living room back down the hall ACROSS our nicely sleeping bodies jolting us awake..... the target water bottle spraying begins.... either the BF or I whoever is awake enough to aim grabs the water bottle (that resides hanging on our bed frame) and the barage begins chasing him out of the bedroom. Back to sleep hopefully is next.... Darn cat!! Now Buster is awake and wants to go outside. And Patches is now nicely awake and wanting her breakfast!!!!! :cry: :lol: TIRED......

 

Sorry you are so tired! We have that behavior too on occasion – we call it the “Midnight Cat Olympics”. They always seem most excitable when we have company spend the night, which only annoys our friends and family – and us! Our treatment usually involves a confiscation of loud toys and a quick scolding. :lol:

Tell me about it! Kyrre is the exact same theese days... Only he doesn't race around, but he meows, LOUD.... It usually means he wants something; attention, to get outside, attention, more attention... :mrgreen: I even tried to let him outside before we go to bed (even though I prefer to keep him in at night), but then I wake up at 3am when he wants to come back inside. So now I keep the window open and he can come and go as he please, but I don't know what I'll do when it gets colder :? :wink:

 

Hi. I'm right there with you. My wife's cat, Ink is getting pretty old. So now he's started meowing between 4am/5am. There is nothing we can do for now, as he's just an old man. We just put him on the bed with us, and pet him until he falls asleep.

If you close your door, will you still hear him? Perhaps you could get one of those white noise machines in your room? Or a fan to drown out the noise?

 

I should say my husband tried to scold them, but the only thing that really does help is putting them in bed with us and cuddling them. Then they relax a bit.
