I was posting a thread on the cats board, and I saw Syd was chewing on something threw the corner of my eye. She was playing with the cats toy two minutes before so I thought thats what she was chewing on. When I looked over she was eating a piece of chalk. I dont think she got much of it, but she definitly ate a little piece, and I put the rest away. Will she be alright?

Was it children's chalk? I think it should be fine -- I know that Crayola's chalk is non-toxic... never know what children (and doggies!) will put in their mouths.

It shouldn't hurt him. I used to go to school with this boy who craved chalk and ate it all the time. Weird, I know. But it turned out he had a calcium deficiency and chalk has calcium in it.
I'm sure he's fine today.
