It's nice to see you back. Did you get deployed and what did you end up doing with your dog? I think you had said something about it going to your sisters?

my primary job is cookin.. but in the air force we dont jus cook.. we run rec centers ( which im currently doin now) fitness centers, lodging, and we also do mortuary.. so if someone goes down out here, we have to process the body.. but we basically try and keep the morale of the troops up around here.. if its concerts that need to be ran or a comedy show that needs to be put on.. we do it.. im in the services career field. we arent in the trenches and we are usually away from the actual fightin..

Glad to hear that you are able to provide aid without being on the front line. My husband's cousin was recently deployed to Fallujah to support the 1st Marine division. His company apparently has a stand alone mission providing security to a sector around a prison. Needless to say, our entire family has been on pins and needles for the last almost 2 weeks. I pray for your's, his, and everyone elses' safe return.

thoes marines are somethin else.. to do what they do.. you gotta have some major courage.. people are dyin for real out there.. they know this and they still go out and perform there duties.. they gotta constantly stay on their toes.. every step they take can be their last.. and a lot of them are 19-25 years old.. a lot of responsiblity huh.. i jus wish some of the media can try and understand their position before they go poppin off at the mouth.. its easy to sit in your home, with your family, with some nice cooked food and say what you would have done.. ya feel me

I know what you mean. Matt is just in his late 20's (27 I think) and has a little girl whose about to be 5. I am very proud of him for what he's doing, and also scared for him, you know? I highly respect all of the men and women in all branches of the armed services. It takes a lot of courage.

Boy - we sure did get off topic! LOL. On topic - my postman never has had to encounter my dogs. I feel like he is just as much a threat to them as anyone else - he'd have to walk to the side of the house to encounter the dogs - and even then, there is a fence around them. I think it's awful how those postmen are bragging about what they've done to different dogs, but at the same time, owner responsibility extends beyond just when you are there. These dogs need to be confined so as to not bother anyone who might have to come into the front yard. Either that, or post signs about the dog, have a mailbox at the curb, and maybe even put a padlock on your front gate. It might sound extreme, but a delivery person (postmen included) shouldn't have to fear for their life just to deliver a package on someone's front step.

I just sold my last two females to two mail carriers here in Oklahoma!!
They told me the AST and APBT were the least likely to attack them in their experience. True Story. :)
