Ok, not really dog Related, but you guys know how much I'm into my horses!!! Well GottaGo, owned by Kristi my best friend, had her foal yesterday at 11:35am!!!!

So I'd like to introduce eveyone to our new addition and a handfull at that to SUMMER!!!!

She's a little bitty one weighing it at a little over 70 lbs, shes a soral filly with a white blaze and snip. Full of life and the cutest little girl ever!!! Her sister (age 2) named Spring (yeah, that was Kristi's idea...naming them with the seasons..) has a new sibling!

    Congrats!!

My son wants to know if it's normal that their ribs are showing so much. I know mothers use a lot of resources during pregnancy and nursing. Are babies always that skinny when they are born?

    She's such a cutie!

Yes Jamiya. Its normal. She's a little smaller than what we'd like her to be. But she's as strong as an ox, and full of energy. Not to meantion her appetite!!!

GottaGo is an older mare at 19. So its normal for the foals to be a little on the smaller side. But what she lacks in weight she sure makes up in spirit and legs!!!!

Ok Sam She's a beauty but I have one question. I know what the blaze is ( the strip of white running down the forehead ) but what is a snip?

AWWWWW she is just too cute for words.
Foals make me laught they are just all legs yet the energy they have is amazing as soon as they find there feet they are off.

I was thinking of getting a shetland pony for my little brother but then i thought the rate he is groing he wont be able to ride it for long, I will just wait till he is older and can understand how to look after one.

    Again very cute baby :)

    thanks guys!

Honeys, your correct on the blaze, a snip is the line on her nose. Its broken from the Blaze therefore its classified as a snip. Any markings on the noze that are broken or separated from the prominant blaze is classified as a snip.

Tex has a star on his forehead and a snip on his nose.... so there can be markings in any situation. One of our fosters only has a snip on her nose... sooo.....
