I received an orphan kitty at two weeks old. He is now 6 weeks old and thriving (although his coat looks dull to me and his stool seems slightly hard). He's using the litterbox but my problem is that I cannot get him interested in solid food. I've tried KMR 2nd stage, :? mixing canned food with KMR, put it up to and on his mouth, put him on a big plate with a little food, little plate, leave some dry kitten food out with water, etc. He has no interest. I'd like to get him off the bottle. Any suggestions?

have you tried letting him lick the food off your fingers just to get him used to the taste?

Mix some salmon oil in with his food (when you can get him to eat it that is) - that'll help his coat.

Yes, I've tried to let him lick it off my fingers. No luck.

Every once in a while try getting him to eat 1 pice of food and then the next day try getting him to eat 2 little pices and so on until you've introduced enough into his diet that hes used to it, good luck.

try some warm cooked chicken ( no skin or spices) I find most kittens find this hard to refuse.
