Well guys, its come down to the time to decide if we're gonna go for it and breed Precious!!!

After alot of studyin' and thinkin' we've decided to go for it. I've got a whole list of buyers.. and i'm sure I won't approve some of them, but some have been waiting and are estatic that we will be breeding this round.

She's been in her heat for 10 days now. tomorow will be the 11th date, and we'll attempt the first mating tomorow afternoon. If she's not receptive, we'll try again on Sunday.
But everything looks good, both her and Boe passed all their tests, and went in on Tuesday for complete exams. Had cultrures and vaginal smears done... had Boe collected.... the whole 9 yards...

I can't wait!!!! I'll keep yall updated. So 65 days from now, I might just have my first litter of boerboel babies!!!!!!

    Good luck Sam!

I am very impressed at how careful and responsible you have been with selecting the breeding pair and putting the dogs through all the testing!

I wish everyone that thought about mating dogs were as responsible as you!

I can't wait to see pictures!!!!

    Aww! Thanks!

Yeah, my biggest worry is making sure that these two produce only the best for the breed. Hip, elbow, eye, health, temperament, and working tests have all been done. We've decided to cull kabuki and not keep her for a breeding dog. Her hip scores are ok, but not 'great'. THere for there's no reason to breed her unless she's awsome in everything. I do not want to produce anything that could potentially pass on DJD or anything like that.

Well, we have our first tie. Everything went GREAT. they did it all on their own with no interuptions or interactions from us. Which is great. It was a bit unexpected and happened wayyyy faster than I had anticipated.

We had a 7 minute tie, and once they released Boe strutted his stuff as if to say "YEAH!! I'm the Man!!!" Precious just kinda looked at me like... SEE!!!! I'm a good girl!!!.

So mark your calendars!! IF she took with this first mating, we should have babies in about 63 days!!! I'll have her tested in about 21 days and then sonogramed to confirm.

Only thing I wasn't happy with is the pictures did not come out. I had left the digital camera inside and only had my cell phone and it was just too dark to get a pic. But I'm more worried about them than getting pictures! LOL

Whew! I could go on all day about hwo excited I am!! But I'll stop here! LOL
